Roxanne 'Roxie' Torcoletti is one of the three main characters in Eastwick. She has a daughter named Mia Torcoletti. Many people suspect Roxie of killing her husband Danny Torcoletti, but it is clear that she loved him dearly. She owns an art shop, where she creates and sells artwork.

Biography[]

Personality[]

She is known for being a fun-loving free-spirit with a sharp tongue. Roxie relishes in her own weirdness and follows the beat of her own drum and since the town already treats her like a pariah, she is intent on living up to that title to spite them. She is a very protective mother and will do anything to protect her daughter Mia.

Since the death of her husband she has faced commitment issue with men and is reluctant to make any relationship she has more than just a casual fling.

Character Arc[]

Roxie is at her art stall with Chad, her younger lover and her daughter Mia during Eastwick’s annual Founder's Day celebration, when she encounters a coin on the floor. Taking the coin, she later goes to the fountain and throws it inside … an unbeknown to her, summons mysterious wealthy businessman Darryl Van Horn to town.

Shortly after, Bun suffers a stroke as a result of the awakening of magic and is admitted to hospital. Roxie, being her friend, goes with her. This is where she meets Kat and Joanne, and seeing how they have all had lousy days worrying, invites them over to her home for drinks. A blossoming friendship is born.

Her growing powers initially manifest as prophetic dreams, in which she envisions mundane events happening such as: being surprised in her store and cutting her finger slicing vegetables. Shortly after she meets Darryl, who offers to pay her $50,000 to create a sculpture of him … as well as sex. She rejects his offer, but eventually, needing the money to pay rent, accepts the commission only. However, when she has a startling vision of Gus assaulting Mia, both she and Darryl manage to save her just in-time. These heightened emotions causes Roxie and Darryl to share a kiss, which she instantly regrets and instead starts to get more serious with Chad.

Roxie's visions continue and she is haunted by dreams of herself being attacked and buried alive by her new tenant Jamie. She continues to encounter him, but feels her visions may have been wrong when he doesn't have the distinct scar he had in her vision. Roxie also encounters Gus and threatens him if he ever goes near Mia again. At the Harvest Festival, Roxie's second gift appears (unbeknown to her), and kills Gus days after she said "I wanna see him strung up in the middle of town square" which comes true.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Clairvoyance: Roxie possesses the power of premonition which enables her to receive and experience visions of the past, present and the future. This gift is highly desirable, since it helps Roxie to evade dangerous situations. A user with this power will experience the visions in dreams while you are sleeping or when they are awake. This gift also gives Roxie some form of mediumship as she is able to see and talk to ghosts. On rare celestial event, this power will advance to the point when the user simply can touch another person to receive a vision.
  • Manifestation: Roxie doesn't just see the future, she can also manipulate it. Using her words, even common phrases, she can speak an event or action into existence. This can also be used to an even deadlier extent to persuade someone to hurt or kill themselves. She has no control over this ability and it often is activated by accident.
  • Telepathy: Roxie was also seen to possess the power of reading another persons mind, notably her mother.
