Penny is the best friend of Joanna and the two are rarely seen apart, that is until Joanna sparks a friendship with Kat and Roxie, causing Penny to become jealous as the trio spend more time together. She takes her frustrations out on her Joanna and cannot understand why she'd want to hang out with Roxie. They both become suspicious of Darryl Van Horne and Penny is later given information by an anonymous source that Darryl isn't who he claims to be, that the real Darryl Van Horne is dead, she shares this information with Joanna.
She joins forces with Joanna to investigate Darryl Van Horne aka Sebastian Heart, a man who seemingly died many years ago, even encountering dangerous scenarios to find answers
